1. The Promotion is called ‘10% online saving for new Australia Post home insurance’. Information on how to participate in the Promotion forms part of these terms and conditions of eligibility. Participation in the Promotion is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions of eligibility (Promotion).
  2. The Promoter is Australian Postal Corporation (ABN 28 864 970 579) of 111 Bourke Street, Melbourne, VIC 3000 (APC) (Promoter).
  3. Australia Post home and motor insurance is issued and underwritten by QBE Insurance (Australia) Limited (ABN 78 003 191 035, AFSL 239545) (QBE). Australian Postal Corporation (ABN 28 864 970 579, AR No: 338646) is an authorised representative of Australia Post Services Pty Limited (ABN 67 002 599 340, AFSL 457551) which is acting (under its own AFSL) on behalf of QBE.   4. The Promotion Period commences at 5pm on 31 March 2023 and ends 4.59pm 31 May 2023, unless extended. Times are local Sydney time (Promotion Period).
  5. The Promotion entitles eligible customers to a 10% saving for a new Australia Post Home Insurance, Australia Post Contents Insurance, or Australia Post Landlord Insurance policy (Eligible Policies) purchased online during the Promotion Period. GST and other applicable government fees, duties and charges are applied to the premium after all discounts.
  6. The Promotion is not available with any other offer and does not apply to policy renewals. QBE has the absolute discretion to change or discontinue discounts at any time. If this occurs, it won’t affect any discount already applied to your current policy period.
  7. Customers who purchase their new Eligible Policy during the Promotion Period by calling Australia Post Insurance directly are not eligible for the Promotion, except in circumstances where the Australia Post website refers a prospective customer to the Australia Post Insurance contact centre on 13 70 11 to provide additional information, or the prospective customer calls the Australia Post Insurance contact centre to discuss a quote received online, then the discount will be applied to the policy quoted if subsequently purchased within the Promotion Period.
  8. A customer may use the Promotion multiple times if multiple new Eligible Policies are purchased during the Promotion Period. However, the Promotion may only be used once for each new Eligible Policy that is purchased during the Promotion Period.
  9. For the purposes of this Promotion, an agreement by a policyholder to enter a periodic instalment plan for a new Australia Post Home Insurance, Australia Post Contents Insurance or Australia Post Landlord Insurance policy is deemed to constitute the purchase of that policy.
  10. A new Australia Post Home Insurance, Australia Post Contents Insurance or Australia Post Landlord Insurance policy must be purchased within the Promotion Period to be eligible for the 10% saving.
  11. A 10% discount is also applied when a customer purchases both buildings and contents insurance for the same property address under the one policy. On renewal, the 10% discount for combined buildings and contents cover will continue unless removed or varied by QBE.
  12. Should a customer vary any details on their policy during their period of insurance, any applicable discounts will be recalculated based on the new applicable premium. If either the buildings or contents cover is removed from the policy, the 10% combined discount will no longer apply to the policy. If a new policy is required to be issued, it will be subject to any discounts on offer at the time of issuing the new policy.
