Audio: To begin planning promotional mail campaigns with Campaign Targeter, first you need to register an account for your organisation. Once this main account is created, additional users can be invited to this account as required.
Audio: To do this, go to campaigntargeter.com.au
Audio: Select “Register” on the login page.
Audio: Enter your details including your name, email address, mobile phone number and a password. Accept the terms and conditions by ticking the checkbox provided and then select the Submit button.
Audio: You will then receive an SMS, with a verification code. Enter this code into the field provided and select “Verify”.
Audio: You will also receive an email containing a link to verify your email address. Clicking this link will verify your email address and return you to Campaign Targeter to continue the registration process.
Audio: The final step of the registration process is to enter the details of your customer account. These are the details of the business, organisation or agency that you will represent when planning promotional mail campaigns using Campaign Targeter.
Audio: If you are a media agency or mail house, inform us by selecting the “is agency” button. Once your request is verified by Australia Post, your customers will be able to find you in Campaign Targeter and give you access to their account. You will then be able to create campaigns on their behalf or manage their entire account.
Audio: Remember to complete all mandatory fields. Business name and phone number are mandatory for all customers. ABN is mandatory for agency customers.

Audio: Do multiple people plan promotional mail campaigns for your organisation? Do you have multiple accounts or sub-accounts?
Audio: Using Campaign Targeter, account administrators can invite new users or add existing users to their accounts or sub-accounts and easily manage user access levels.
Audio: To invite a new user, log in to Campaign Targeter and select “Users” from the Dashboard menu. If you have multiple accounts and sub-accounts, make sure the appropriate account is selected first.
Audio: Existing users are listed on the left. To add a new user, select “Create New User”.
Audio: Enter the new user’s name and email address in the fields provided.
Audio: When adding users, you can assign administrator or user-level access. Administrators can perform all functions and modify account settings, whereas a user only has access to create campaigns.
Audio: If you would like the new user to have administrator access, tick the “Admin User” checkbox.
Audio: Select “Send Invite”. An email will be sent to the new user inviting them to confirm their registration. You will be taken to the “Manage Users” screen where you can add a mobile phone number for the new user and further configure their level of access.
Audio: Here you can easily assign access to all sub-accounts as a user or an administrator.
Audio: If you would like to only assign access to specific sub-accounts, disable these options and select “Save”. Then select the “Accounts” tab.
Audio: Now you can assign this user access to selected sub-accounts. First, select “Assign”. Choose a sub-account from the drop-down list and select “Add”. The user will then be able to access this sub-account. If you would like to assign administrator access to the sub-account, activate the corresponding “Administrator” switch.

Audio: To remove the user’s access to a sub-account, select “Remove”.
Audio: If you would like to completely remove a user from the main customer account, you need to return to the dashboard and select “Customer Details” from the Customer menu.

Audio: Find the user that you would like to remove and select the corresponding “Remove” button. This user will no longer have access to this account or any of the associated sub-accounts.

Audio: When mapping catchments, you have the option to cover all your Catchment Area or stay within your catchment boundary.

Audio: If you choose to cover all your Catchment Area and select “More boundary overlap, lower cost”, some postal rounds will overlap your catchment boundary and you will deliver to addresses outside your Catchment Area.

If you would like to select from larger regions, or your mail campaign is a matter of governance, reference layers can also be used to target Local Government Areas or State and Federal electoral divisions.

Audio: Using Campaign Targeter, it’s easy to create catchments by placing a pin on the map and setting a delivery radius around it. You can select the size of the radius and can add as many pins as you like.

Audio: Using Campaign Targeter, you can create a catchment of any size and shape by simply drawing it on the map.

Audio: Using Campaign Targeter, it’s easy to target your delivery to suburbs, postcodes, local government areas and state or federal electorates.

Audio: Next, select a suitable Reference Layer for your campaign. Options include Suburb, Postcode, Local Government Area, State Electoral Division and Commonwealth Electoral Division.

Audio: Click on the map to select an area. A pop-up will confirm the inclusion of the selected area. Visual: Screen capture.
Audio: Alternatively, use the search bar to enter an address, suburb or postcode. The map will move to the search location. Clicking the “plus” icon next to the search bar will add the chosen Reference Layer to your campaign. To select additional areas, simply repeat this process.

Audio: You can delete a catchment by deselecting it on the map or by clicking the corresponding cross icon in the catchment list. Campaign Targeter offers a “Group Catchment” functionality that is helpful when planning a campaign for large areas that include multiple suburbs or postcodes. For example, if planning a campaign for the Bayside area of Melbourne, you may want to include Brighton and several other adjacent suburbs. The chosen suburbs can be grouped into a single catchment using the “Group” function.

Audio: Further to this example, you may want to deliver within the boundary of the entire area. To achieve this, you need to group the selected suburbs and then apply the appropriate catchment preferences.

Audio: To create a group of catchments, first select all the areas you would like to include. You will see each catchment location listed on the left. Next, select one catchment to group the other catchments to. Click on the magnifying glass icon to select the catchment. Select the “Group” icon from the Map Tools. Plus icons will now appear next to the other catchments. Select the plus icon of each catchment you would like to include in the group. To remove a catchment area from a group, select the minus icon. To create another group, repeat this process.

Audio: If your business already has location or target delivery area data captured in a Shapefile, you can upload this data directly into Campaign Targeter to automatically create up to 500 sub-account locations and delivery areas. This feature is helpful if you frequently create campaigns for multiple locations and deliver to specific boundaries.

Audio: Catchment Shapefiles store the geographic data of your target delivery areas or store locations. They must conform to a specific file format to be compatible with Campaign Targeter.
Audio: There are resources available online to help you create a Shapefile or you can consult the services of a GIS mapping specialist. Campaign Targeter accepts Esri Shapefile format. And WGS84 projection.

Audio: In this video, we will show you how to upload and use a Catchment Shapefile in Campaign Targeter.
Audio: Select “Catchment Sets” from the Customer menu on the Dashboard.

Audio: Now that the Catchment Set has been created on the system, you need to upload your Shapefile. Select the “Shapes” tab.

Audio: In this example, we want maximum coverage in our selected suburbs, and it doesn’t matter if we overlap the catchment boundary – so we will select “Cover all catchment.”

Audio: Next, select a product preference. This option determines how your campaign is delivered by Australia Post, and influences the level of coverage, and delivery costs.
